About this Worksheet:
An oxymoron is a figure of speech where two ideas seem to be completely opposite, such as “silent scream.” This worksheet asks your student to match words in different columns to create an oxymoron. He’ll then explain the meaning of three of the oxymorons he created. It’s useful for Common Core Standards for Language for grades 7 through 10, although it may also be helpful for other students.
